Cebu City is the capital city of the province of Cebu and is the "second city" of the Philippines. It is the second largest, most important, fastest growing city in the country. It's best to visit Cebu on a fine summer day. I went there to attend the famous annual Sinulog Festival. It is held every third Sunday of January. The Sinulog Festival is one of the grandest, most distinguished, and most colorful festivals in the Philippines. Upon arriving Cebu City, you may find yourself roaming around, trying their affordable food like danggit, pusit, and dried fish which all go very well with hot coffee.

The festival features some of the country's most colorful displays of ceremony and pageantry. The streets are generally lined with vendors and pedestrians all wanting to witness the street-dancing. Your Cebu trip won't be complete if you don't try its famous lechon in Zubuchon lechon located at General Maxilom Avenue. After watching the annual festival, enjoying eating lechon, and craving for adventure and excitement, I recommend tourists and guests to stay in Plantation Bay Resort and Spa. It is one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever experienced in Cebu. The facilities and accommodation are great and will surely satisfy your expectation as a traveler. They also offer variety of activities such as scuba diving, aqua rides, pool slides, archery, wall climbing, golf-pitch and putt, tennis, and beach volleyball. The activities they offer are great for family and friends that will surely build strong bonding relationships. The Plantation Bay Resort and Spa is also a relaxing place for couples, family, and colleagues and at the same time cater different events like conferences, weddings, and parties.

Cebu is also filled with historical places. Visit the famous Santo Nino Basilica which dates back to the Early Spanish Colonial Era. Witness the panoramic beauty of Cebu City and Mactan Island in Tops which is high above Busay Hills. Go on picnics there with your family and friends as the sun sets in the whole city.

Visit the home of the majority of guitar manufacturers in Lapu Lapu City, Mactan Island. Here you can see how guitars are made from scratch. My father bought an acoustic guitar in Cebu because they really make good quality guitars. To complete your taste of Cebu, try eating the best pork ribs in Casa Verde. They have a wide range of menu including sandwiches, gourmet food, seafood, and chicken. Casa Verde is the best place to have a heavy dinner after a long trip in the city of Cebu.
