Bicol Express
Behold one of the classic Bicolano dishes ever - Bicol Express! This dish is also known as sinilihan. If you are a fan of rich, creamy and spicy food, you must give this dish a go! This delicacy is usually made from long chilies, coconut milk, shrimp paste or stock fish, onion, pork, and garlic. You can also enjoy different versions of this cuisine while you travel around Bicol. A tour and food trip in one!

Kinunot na Pagi
This is the perfect mix of coconut milk goodness and just the right amount of spiciness! Kinunot na Pagi is a flavorful dish made of shredded-chunks of stingray or shark meat and malunggay leaves boiled into the creamy gata. Best served with hot steaming rice. Time to dig in!

Laing
Laing is also one of the classic Bicolano dishes around. While it may be more famous than others and is widely spread and known in the Philippines, it actually takes some serious skills to cook it. This dish is made up of shredded or whole taro leaves, pork, chicken or seafood boiled into coconut milk spiced with chilies. Additional spices may be added depending on how spicy or flavorful you want it to be.

Pancit Bato
This delicious dish originated from Camarines Sur, Bicol region in a small town known as ’Bato’. Unlike other pancits such as pancit malabon, Pancit Bato has shorter, thinner and curlier noodles. It can be served either in sabaw or guisado. You can also add toppings such as shrimp, veggies, and etc. for that extra flavor.

Pili Nuts
As the name says, this is more of a snack than an ulam or a meal. There are several versions of Pili Nuts. From the classic roasted nuts to the sweet caramelized nuts, which are honestly both good – it just depends which type or flavor you want. If you often travel, you might see this on some airports because this may just be the perfect food to snack on while waiting, traveling, taking a leisure walk, touring or just anywhere really, it’s that good! Also, make sure to eat it while it’s fresh!
