On this marked day in the said province is the celebration of Regada Festival, or what is infamously known as the 'water festival'. Regada was derived from the Spanish word 'regar' which means water. If you love to eat pineapples, then you must know that one the sweetest varieties of the fruit is produced in Daet, Camarines Norte which is known as the Formosa variety. Since 1993, Daet celebrates its Pinyasan or Pineapple Festival every June 15 - June 24. The festivity aims to attract and promote eco-tourism in the province through different activities that feature the sweet and succulent pineapple like art exhibits, trade fairs, cultural performances and sports events.
