Chinese New Year: February 16-18, 2018 (Friday - Sunday)
Singapore. The most fascinating part of the Chinese New Year in Singapore is the mix of old and new traditions as well as the influence from other cultures. Dancing dragons, float parade and magic shows fill the streets with joy and people from around the world gather here to experience once in a lifetime opportunity to spend the holiday.
Manila. Hundreds of people gather in Binondo, Manila to witness and take part in the Chinese New Year celebration. It is the world’s oldest Chinatown. Dragon dancers snaked their way down the streets of Binondo to usher the good luck.
Holy Week: March 29 - April 01, 2018 (Thursday - Sunday)
Guimaras. It is a great alternative for those seeking crystalline waters and shores with the finest sand - a great way to relax and meditate during Lenten season. Notable places to visit in Guimaras include Baras and Natago Beaches, Pawikan Sanctuary, and Panaluron Falls. Visit SEAFDEC or South East Asian Development Center and bond with sea turtles and fishes. Try the mango pizza at the pit-stop and try the mangrove bamboo walkway.
Vigan. This province has a lot to offer. With the rich culture and traditions embedded around its famous landmarks, this is a place for those who want to revisit a huge part of Philippine history. There are a lot of things you don’t want to miss while in Vigan. Explore Calle Crisologo, the cobble-stoned street with Spanish period ancestral houses. Visit the Syquia Mansion, go to the Heritage River Cruise in Mestizo River, climb up Bantay Bell Tower, have a sip of sinanglaw, and take a bite of empanada.
Araw ng Kagitingan: April 07-09, 2018 (Saturday - Monday)
Camiguin. It is the second smallest province in the Philippines. The Sunken Cemetery in Camiguin is used to be the graveyard above the sea but because of the eruption of Mt. Vulcan in 1980, it was destroyed and its remnants found underwater. Corals has grown on and around the tombstones and marine life has flourished making it a unique and extraordinary diving destination. While in Camiguin, enjoy beach life at Mantigue Island Nature Park and visit their sandbar called White Island.
Quirino Province. Landingan Viewpoint is located at the town of Nagtipunan. It offers stunning panoramic view of the towering hills and the Cagayan River that cuts through the valley. While in Quirino, try boating at Governor’s Rapids as it is famous for its limestone formations. Also visit the Bimmapor rock formation that resembles a ship that is about to sink located along the Cagayan River bank in Nagtipunan.

Benguet. Mt. Pulag is the third highest mountain in the Philippines, next to Mt. Apo and Mt. Dulang-dulang. It is famous for its “sea of clouds” and the view of Milky Way Galaxy at dawn. As you take a hiking trip you’ll get to see the amazing view of sea of clouds. During the amihan season, the temperature at the highest point of the mountain is known to dip into subfreezing temperatures making it the coldest place in the country.
