What to Do Other than Partying in LaBoracay?
Story by: Kristelle Fabregas ( Member ) on 2017-06-02
Summer season will not be complete without a visit to the beach and Boracay (not Bora) will always be on the list to go to. This is not just because of its white sand beach and clear waters, but especially because of its most anticipated yearly event called “LaBoracay” which is a combination of “Labor Day” and “Boracay”.

If you’re part of the lucky people to have this long Labor Day weekend and your friends tagged you to this awesome ultimate beach party then you must be ready! But if you’re the type of person who doesn’t really like to party, here are some things you can do to enjoy LaBoracay other than joining the party crowd every night:

1. Stroll on the White Beach

If you love going on a stroll like me, try wandering from Station 1 to Station 3. Whether you are meeting your friends who stay at another station or you just like to visit a certain area, a “bit” of walking doesn’t hurt. It can be an exercise while having the chance to see the entire stretch of the White beach. Enjoy walking on the powder-like white sand and you will also save money from tricycle fare!

2.     Get that Boracay Hair Braid and Henna Tattoo

Isn’t it irritating to have that frizzy & tangled hair (especially if you have long hair) while partying, swimming or just strolling on the beach? Try having your hair done with different braid styles to choose from! Ranging from Php 200 to Php 500 depending on hairstyle and hair length, some also offers braid with Henna tattoo (basic) package for Php 200 only. You can find these hair braid and tattoo stalls almost anywhere near the beach area to complete your #summerootd!

3. Boracay Food trip

I know it’s bikini season but what’s a vacation without trying local restaurants and satisfying your happy tummy? Boracay’s famous fruit shake and Calamansi muffin are a must-have! There’s also a new cozy and only food hall in the island – Streetmarket at Station X! Check it out here

4. Experience Gmax

For the adventurous soul, you shouldn’t miss this extreme ride that will throw you to the air! Shout your lungs out and enjoy the island’s top view upside down. Best to try during day time with your friends, or by yourself! Since it is LaBoracay, they had a promo rate of Php 1,000/person (Yes, it’s a bit expensive but the experience is worth it!). Just add Php 500 if you want to document your reaction using an action camera while experiencing the ride and you will get the video copy on a USB. It’s a great souvenir as well! *Not suitable for those who have a weak mind and heart.*

5. Try some water-activities

Your vacation will not be complete if you haven’t tried any of the water activities. There are many activities to choose from like the famous Boracay Helmet diving where you can meet the sea creatures up close underwater, island hopping to escape the crowd’s noise for a while or the usual but never gets old jet ski, banana boat ride and flyfish adventure!

But if you’re on a tight budget, you can settle on a paddle board for just Php 250 /3 persons for 20 minutes. You will get the same hype in Boracay’s clear waters together with your friends. Just don’t get sunburn!

Have a happy vacation on the next LaBoracay! (Or on your next Boracay trip)
