Boracay Foodtrip that You Shouldn't Miss
Story by: Kristelle Fabregas ( Member ) on 2017-05-22
Admit it, you like to travel not just to see other places but also to try certain foods that your destination offers. Well, Boracay has a lot of deal for a food lover like you and your taste buddies! Below are some of the island’s famous and new food choices that you should not miss:

Jonah’s Fruit Shake & Snack Bar (Located at Station 1, Balabag, Boracay Island)

(In the picture: Banana Choco Peanut, Melon Mango & Banana Mocha Peanut)

Dubbed as “The best fruit shake in the Island”, their main branch by the beach is always jam-packed with local and foreign tourists who also wish to quench their thirst and beat the summer heat. We opt to visit the other branch by the road (Station 2). They offer a wide variation of rich and tasty mixed fruit shakes. It is served in plastic bottles with hole on the cap for the straw so you’re good to go. Luckily, you can call them for delivery so you can skip the long line – (036) 288 3281 or (036) 288 1457. Light meals are also available.

Real Coffee and Tea Café

It is famous for their Calamansi muffins which are a well-known pasalubong. No wonder it is known as the “Home of the Original Calamansi Muffins”. If you plan to take some home, you need to order it a day in advance because that’s how famous it is!  But they are not just about muffins as they serve American breakfast or brunch, lunch, coffee and drinks. The owner, Mamma Lee, is also very accommodating as we got the chance to meet and take a photo with her. You can find it at the Station 2 beachfront, 2/F Sea World.

Boracay Toilet Restaurant

Here is Boracay’s version of Japan and Taiwan’s famous toilet restaurant. It’s kind of funny seeing your food served in toilet bowls and drinks served in urinals – a very cool concept to enjoy your food in a different way. Their Nilababong Kangkong (Adobong Kangkong) and Pork SHIT-sig (Pork Sisig) are a must try! Of course, you will also enjoy taking pictures after fulfilling your hungry tummy with their artistically designed toilet bowls and covers. Would you dare to eat here without thinking it’s gross? It is located at 2nd Floor, Balabag Plaza, Station 1, Main Road, Boracay Island.

Tilapia and Chips

If you love to eat fish especially Tilapia and fries, (who does not love fries?) then this is the place for you! As the name suggests, fish and chips is the star of their dishes but they also do serve fried chicken and burgers. Satisfy your appetite with their big servings at a very affordable price. Tilapia ‘N Chips guarantees 100% satisfaction with their food quality and taste or it’s free. They also deliver anywhere in Boracay for free without minimum orders. It is located at G/F Kamayan Bldg. Station 2, Balabag, Boracay Island.

D’Talipapa: Natalia’s Kusina

D’Talipapa is Boracay’s version of Dampa and Natalia’s Kusina is one of the best cooking services that you can choose! Their restaurant also looks very comfortable among the others and maybe that’s the reason why many celebrities have been there. Autographs are displayed on their wall. Enjoy shopping for your fresh seafood in the market and trust them in cooking your favorite dish that’s within your budget!

New: Streetmarket at Station X

Food parks and halls are eminent nowadays so it’s no surprise that Boracay already has its version of it. The place is very cozy and instagrammable, as well as the food. You can choose from Southeast Asian flavors, Italian food, and Japanese cuisine to Korean desserts. It’s best to chill here with your friends! Streetmarket is located at Station X, Hue Hotel, Main Road Corner Boracay Food Street, Station 2, Boracay.
