Aquascape: A Dreamlike Escape in Laguna

We are a few months away from our 3rd anniversary when I decided to plan a short but romantic getaway for me and my significant other. I have two considerations though: 1) it should be near Manila as I am planning for a weekend getaway only, and 2) it should be relaxing, somewhat secluded, and romantic.
I was lucky I stumbled upon a few blogs which featured Eco-saddle or Aquascape floating cottages. It was perfect! I immediately contacted the owners of the place through their email and to make long story short, we were able to rent a small floating cottage for the weekend.
It was more or less 2 hours away from Manila (we took the Rizal-Laguna route as we were riding a motorcycle). The place is located in the vicinity of Lake Caliraya in Cavinti, Laguna. Eco-saddle or Aquascape was right in front of the lake. They offer other cottages or rooms and they have 2 floating cottages (one big and one small). Here are some photos of our trip:
These were all taken during our first day. Aside from lounging in the cottage, we were offered free access to their water sports activities by the owner. He even drove his jetski for us so we can experience the water sports they offer. The owner was very nice and he often stays at the place during weekends. Our day ended with a beautiful sunset in Lake Caliraya. So serene and peaceful.
For our 2nd day, we toured around Lake Caliraya in our floating cottage (this is complimentary, it is included in the payment for the cottage). A staff of the resort will serve as your “driver” and will take you around the lake. It was very calming and relaxing; I can’t help but wish I just live here. We also dropped by the windmill farm in Pililia, Rizal on our way to Eco-saddle or Aquascape.

Just please practice LNT (leave no trace) and keep the place peaceful and quiet, and DO NOT litter on the lake please. (*Their floating cottages has a bathroom and a sink but all your waste will do directly down the lake so I suggest that you use the bathroom that they will provide and do not pour anything in the sink except for water.)
