How To Get To Palaui Island

There are two ways to get to Sta. Ana, Cagayan: by air and by land. If you choose to travel by land, get ready for a 15 hour travel time. From Manila, take a bus going to Sta. Ana, Cagayan. Make sure to check the bus schedule so you can leave on your desired time. You may alternatively take a bus to Tuguegarao which takes 10 - 12 hours. Once you get to Tuguegarao, take a van going to Sta. Ana which takes up to 3 - 4 hours.


If you want to travel by air, take a plane going to Tuguegarao City then take a van going to Sta. Ana. Major airlines fly to Tuguegarao daily so you won’t have a hard time when you book flights!


Farol De Cabo Engaño

As you reach Palaui Island, its stunning landscape and seascape will welcome you. Farol De Cabo Engaño, an 18th century lighthouse is a great reflection of the country’s rich history. To get to the lighthouse, you must take a 3 hour trek from Punta Verde at southeast tip of Palaui Island. Standing on a 90-meter cliff, the lighthouse is a true example of a beautiful ruin that possess a nostalgic vibe. As you reach the cliff, you will witness a beautiful view of the cliffs and the ocean.


Hidden Waterfalls

Palaui Island is not just filled with unspoiled beaches, it is also home to relaxing and clean waterfalls. From Siwangag Cove, there is a small waterfall that can be reached by trekking for 20 - 30 minutes. You can relax by dipping your body in the cold water. What makes this awesome is the water is absolutely drinkable!


Baratubut Falls is a famous waterfall in Palaui. Just 30 minutes away from Punta Verde, you can reach the falls and enjoy the water flowing from a high stairway of rocks. Baratubut Falls is also accessible via Cape  Engaño.
