Posted by: jovy avisado ( Member ) on 2016-10-12
The Philippines is gifted with natural beauty. From Luzon to Mindanao, you can find something that will definitely enchant you. One of the gifts from Mother Nature that we are very fortunate to have is Donsol. Not only it has clear blue waters, it is also being flocked by tourists because of the whale sharks present in the area.

Donsol is a third class municipality in the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. The small province is widely known for the presence of whale sharks during November, June, February, and May. It is even featured as the “Best Animal Encounter in Asia” by Time Magazine in 2004. A unique experience indeed! Because of its world-class destination, Donsol is now known as the “Whale Shark Capital of the World”.

Swimming with whale shark is strictly regulated by Department of Tourism. So just keep their rules in mind when swimming with these adorable creatures!

Once you’re done with swimming with whale sharks, make sure to experience Donsol’s night firefly tour. Ogod River is where you can enjoy watching the fireflies dance at night. From Php 1,250-Php 1,500, a boat and tricycle rental, guide, and registration fee for a group of 4 are all included. You can also visit Manta Bowl and San Miguel Island for some jump-off and diving fun! Because of Donsol’s hilly areas and fields, tourists also enjoy trekking and biking in the place.

Donsol’s beauty is something that we should be proud of and protect. So if you are looking for an adventure to remember in the amazing province of Donsol, simply learn more about it in travel guide in the Philippines, book from an online travel site, and you’re ready to go!
