It's name being derived from the famous seafaring people of North Germanic descent, based in Scandinavia who have showed extreme strength and authority to European countries during the late 8th to the middle of 11th centuries, Vikings-Luxury Buffet Restaurant is truly a place to be when you're aiming to rule the world of banqueting like a true warrior.

With the growing trend in buffets here in the Philippines, I must say that Vikings didn't really disappoint. People say that you can find out the culture of one country by having a taste of their local delicacies and Vikings successfully delivered that to their customers. The restaurant's cuisines vary from Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, American and our homegrown favorites, which clearly show cultural diversity served into one place. Aside from the unlimited rounds that you can partake on the delicious chow displayed in different settings and locations of the restaurant, they also offer an unlimited selection of drinks - local juices, tea, beers and even high-end wines, you name it and they will hand it to you. The dessert station is also packed with mouth-watering cakes, chocolate and strawberry fountains, local delicacies like Bibingka, Crepe, Hong Kong style Waffles and even Korea's famous dessert, Patbingsu. They also have a yogurt machine, which allows you to make your own yogurt in any way you want! I guess.

One good thing about this buffet restaurant is that they keep upgrading their menu so you won't be bored with the same selection of food every time you feel like feasting. Though with more than 100 dishes prepared every day, I don't know how you can be bored with the enormous amount of choices.

Another thing that I enjoy in Vikings is that they show how their dishes are cooked. The chefs are right behind the rectangular area where you get your food and you can even ask them on how you want your dish to be cooked. They can grill the salmon, fry the squid or any way you want it. They also have steaks, which is a big plus for steak lovers like me.

Aside from the food, the great service is also a big gain when dining in this restaurant. You can always see the smile in all of the faces of their crew, always ready to help in any way possible. The ambience is amazing too - it's like you're in a five-star restaurant in Europe! If you're looking for a place to dine in during birthdays, family dinners, a blowout for the barkada or the office, this is the place to be. Believe me, you'll walk out of the place full and satisfied.

The price varies depending on what day you visit this place. Make your reservations a week ahead though because it's really hard to get a table especially if you'll be coming in huge packs.
